I really like MAN CITY over wolves. I think man city is on a high while wolves are on a low. Decent odds on the away win...at 2.07.

ALSO, arsenal to beat liverpool at even ball at evens As Arsenal should get some of their starting 11 strength back up (sol campbell, viera, bergkamp). Should make a world of difference. Tricky game here since liverpool had a week off..........maybe only half a unit on arsenal.

Riding Newcastle, how stubburn of me grrrr they have to get the win sometime...unbelievable. Now at 1.83, i hate doing this but I still think they are a decent squad and will pick up a convincing win.

Chelsea should rebound after that miserable CL game at home losing 2-0. Ladbrokes has them at -0.5 at 1.80 which is quite decent.

As for upsets, im liking blackburn over leeds and leicester over fulham but will need to do some more reading to be truly convinced.

Thats it for today....might add 1 or 2, tell me what you think and lets get a nice positive discussion going...

I've been following the Wolves for a couple weeks now so consider I am a novice. I like to follow the worst teams in hopes of getting a decent line on a team that would beat them 4-0 or 5-0.

Man City seems to be quite a bit better than Wolverhampton so the -0.5 is an inviting spread. My concern is that the Wolves have a recent draw with Bolton at 1-1 and also a convincing win against Division 3 Darlington. Is this enough to give them their confidence back?

Might want to wait on Newcastle and Arsenal until we know more about the rape scandal. Tricky to know how the players are reacting if anyone from those teams are involved.

Yes, correct. But if a player was accused of something like that he'd be under a hell of a lot of pressure from all around him. I don't think the players will be able to perform 100% under these circumstanses.

Nobody in their right minds can want to be on Newcastle this week. The emotional stress etc will be huge and they have been playing badly anyway.....

Could be Newcastle.. latest I've read is that a chelsea star is the sinner but there were 7 newcastle players involved aswell. Course, this is just what the papers are on about. Only club that has confirmed that they are not involved (out of the 6 that played in london last week) is Aston Villa. Lots of supporters have made songs about this etc so could be a ruff round for some players.

Got very lucky with the Arsenal win...havent seen liverpool play so well.

It hit me the other day that if Chelsea were the 'bad' team in this allegation, it may be one reason why they played so badly in the champions league fixture at home. Dunno, just a thought.

Okay - the rumour is that it is one minor Chelsea player and six prominent newcastle players. I have no idea of whether it is true or not but actually, for gambling purposes, it doesn't matter. What matters is that the players know people think it is them, the opposing crowd will certainly let them know they think it is them and there has been a lot of turmoil at the club. Bear in mind though that whilst the odds compilers know not all of the public do so there will be some resistance to the price

Adding: Man utd -1.5 over Birmingham at 2.10...

Birmginham doing very well currently 4th but have not faced REAL opposition yet, i know they beat newcastle but we all know newcastle is struggling. Birmingham will play with the big boys now away at Man Utd. Man Utd will try to avenge their CL loss to stuttgard and trying to keep up with Arsenal who just got 3 points away at liverpool. Juicy odds too, 2.10.
